  • It lends exclusivity to the websites of Swiss companies and organizations.

Applicants must demonstrate that they have an adequate connection to Switzerland. This is demonstrated by having a registered place of business and an actual administrative site in Switzerland. Applicants must also be entered in the Swiss commercial register or have the status of an association or foundation. Swiss public bodies such as the Confederation, cantons, and municipalities can also apply.

At present, natural persons (private individuals) cannot submit a registration application.
