Simple and affordable domain transfer

In most cases, you will need a transfer code to enable you to switch your domain from your current provider or registrar to the new provider. This code is also called the AuthCode, Transfer Authorization Code or TransAuthCode.

Enter your reserved domain name in the domain checker. “Unavailable” or similar will correctly appear after your domain name. Click on “Transfer”, enter the transfer code you have received and click on “Transfer” again. Immediately after this step, if you so wish, you can select a suitable web hosting package and then complete your order. Green will take care of migrating your registered domain.

Depending on the domain extension, this can take up to a few days – for example, if you want to transfer a .com domain. A .ch domain can usually be transferred within a few hours. You’ll be notified by email as soon as the transfer has finished.

If you have registered a .ch or .li domain, the months from your previous provider that you've already paid for will be counted. If, for example, you have already paid for the previous domain for one year and switch to Green after six months, the remaining six months will be added to the contract term. In this case, the domain will be registered to your name for one and a half years at Green.
