Green expands data center capacity at high speed and strengthens its Executive Board

Markus Meier takes over responsibility for the Construction division and joins the Executive Board.

Lupfig, May 9, 2025 - Green is pressing ahead with the expansion of its data center infrastructure and is expanding its management team. As Chief Construction Officer, Markus Meier has been responsible the overall management of all Green's construction projects since 1 May 2025 - both the company's own projects and those carried out on behalf of customers and in close cooperation with them.

 

Green is building another data center in Lupfig, while two new facilities are being built in Dielsdorf at the same time. With these projects, Green is doubling its overall capacity and responding to the continuing strong demand for secure, high-performance and sustainable infrastructures in Switzerland. “Our growth is guided by a clear strategic roadmap. We are setting new standards and making a lasting contribution to strengthening Switzerland as a digital hub, says Roger Süess, CEO of Green, and he adds: “With Markus Meier, we are adding an experienced leader to our team – someone who will help us drive forward the ongoing development of our high-availability infrastructure with quality and efficiency.

 

Markus Meier is a certified construction manager SBA and has over 25 years of experience in the management of complex construction projects. He has held various management positions at well-known construction companies, including Managing Director of Bauunternehmung Erne AG, Head of Building Construction Zurich at Implenia AG and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the internationally active Scheuchzer SA. He brings strategic thinking and extensive industry knowledge and has already successfully delivered several data centers. “'I am looking forward to planning and realizing the upcoming construction projects together with a strong team – and to actively contributing to our growth, says Markus Meier.

 

Green plans to make a significant contribution to Switzerland's digital development by 2030 - through innovative technologies, reliable partnerships and the continuous expansion of its data center platform.
