Why are outgoing calls not possible? / What is the TopStop limit?
f no outgoing calls are possible with the greenTalk number, the monthly TopStop limit may have been reached.
TopStop is a protective device for VoIP telephony.
In the event that someone gains access to your VoIP credentials, they will be able to make calls using your phone number. It is also possible that a connection is not disconnected. To avoid horrendous costs, we have set a limit of CHF 50/month for each greenTalk phone number as standard.
If call costs higher than CHF 50 are incurred within one month, outgoing calls are no longer possible. You will hear the busy signal when dialing a chargeable number.
Incoming calls are still possible. Outgoing calls to emergency numbers (112, 117, 118, 143, 144 & 147) are also possible.
You can easily increase the TopStop limit in your customer portal. Please log in with your access data. In the customer area, open the "Telephony > TopStop settings" button. Here you can adjust the TopStop limit as desired.
