DPA and GTC
The General Terms and Conditions (GTC), the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) govern different aspects of the contractual relationship and data processing.
General Terms and Conditions
The General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between Green and you. The Privacy Policy is an integral part of the General Terms and Conditions.
You can find the General Terms and Conditions at:
Cooperation and Acceptance Obligations
Depending on the scope of the Green services, close cooperation between Green and you may be required. In such cases, intermediate objectives as well as mutual cooperation and acceptance obligations are defined in the individual contract.
If you fail to comply with these cooperation and acceptance obligations, Green is released from its obligation to provide further services. Following an unsuccessful warning, Green may invoice the costs incurred up to that point for immediate payment.
Proper Use of Green Services
You undertake to use the Green services properly and in compliance with Green's terms of use.
Your obligations include in particular:
- Provide Green with the required information about existing technical installations necessary to use the Green services.
- Allow Green, where necessary, to install the required technical equipment on your premises.
- Ensure compliance with official requirements.
- Obtain any required official approvals if these are currently or in the future necessary for the use of Green services.
- Report identifiable defects or damage without delay.
- Within reasonable limits, take all measures that enable defects, damage and their causes to be identified or that facilitate and accelerate troubleshooting.
Costs for Faults Within the Customer's Area of Responsibility
You must reimburse Green for the costs of inspecting the infrastructure if the inspection reveals that you intentionally or through gross negligence caused the fault. This also applies if the cause originated within your area of responsibility and you failed to identify it due to gross negligence.
Report Changes Within One Month
Notify Green within one month of the following changes and circumstances:
- Changes to your personal or company data
- In legal partnerships, the addition or departure of persons
- Any other factual or legal circumstances that have or may have a significant impact on the contract with Green

Consequences of a Breach
In the event of a breach of the obligations under sections 3.1 or 3.2 of the General Terms and Conditions and following an unsuccessful warning, Green is entitled to terminate the contractual relationship with immediate effect.
Responsibility for End Devices
You are responsible for the hardware and software components on your end devices. This includes, in particular, programs, licences and configurations.
Green does not guarantee that Green services will function correctly on technically inadequate end devices.
Data Protection
As a Swiss Internet provider, Green is bound by the applicable legal framework of Switzerland. For the definition of data protection related terms such as "personal data" and "processing", the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP; SR 235.1), the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (OFADP; SR 235.11) and, where applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply in particular.

Disclosure of Data
Disclosure of data to third parties, in particular log files and email data, is only possible with your consent or based on a court order addressed to the competent authority.
Scope of the Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy applies generally to Green. It cannot therefore be transferred unchanged to every product or service.
The statistics, analytics and social media functions described in the Privacy Policy relate to Green websites. Green does not automatically enable Google Analytics, Hotjar or social media plugins for web hosting products.
Data Protection on Your Own Website
The information your privacy policy must contain depends on how your website was created and which services, plugins, statistics or tracking tools you use. There is no universally applicable template for this.
Therefore, check which functions and tools your website uses and whether these process or collect data. The content of your website and the information provided to your visitors are your responsibility.
